in a new york minute.

I love big cities but the speed, soot and intensity of New York always freaks me out a little bit when I see it after a long absence. Apparently, all I needed to get back in the swing of it all was an indulgent dessert and a window seat in a Soho coffee shop… Then again, cupcakes seem to solve most problems, don’t they? But I digress… I suppose what came of this photo diary were not the sirens, steel and concrete that seemingly define New York, but rather the pretty little corners of this chaotic city that are there if you just look for them…

May all of you carry your rose-colored glasses with you wherever your road takes you…
XOXO

There is nothing about this post that I don’t love. The sparkle, the pink, the yummy food, the chandeliers. I love New York and find that the juxtapostion of the grit next to all the fabulousness just makes it even more exciting!

I’m a big fan of stopping and smelling roses. People say it but never actually do it. I do. It makes me happy.

  12. The whole incredible minute I was looking at these images, I was absolutely, completely in NYC too. You have captured a wonderful essence of the softer side of one of the most fabulous cities on earth.

Do you take all your own pictures? I love your view on life! I totally agree! Stop to smell the roses! When I lived in Spain for a semester I loved how relaxed they were. They never got coffee to-go. Everyone relaxed during siesta time. I even had an instructor who was always 15 minutes late and didn’t think anything of it!
    Happy Tuesday! Luvv, Leigh B
