We’ve all seen this decadent and delicious film but did you know there was a book?! It was such a treat to flip through all these beautiful images and decorate them with my own frou frou costume jewelry. Looking back over some of my recent posts, I realize it must seem like I live in an unrealistic, rose-tinted dream bubble where my life is always peachy keen and nothing can go wrong! I figured I should clarify why I’ve chosen to never bring any negativity to this blog. Like any normal person, I have my bad days, but I’ve made a conscious point to not use this blog, or my twitter or facebook for that matter, as a venting forum to complain about whatever silly or negative thing annoys me on a given day. Honestly, I find it really strange when people use social media to complain about their personal lives. From the start, I wanted this blog and my posts to be a place to reflect on the beautiful things that bring me joy, rather than wallow in the personal little miseries that are better left far, far away from a “share” button! Anyway, there’s my little spiel. Enjoy these pretty pictures! xo

Impractical

I like impractical shoes, especially when they are made of red velvet or any variety of glitter. I like fancy lingerie that only comes out to play on special occasions. I like serving platters of colorful macarons because they look “pretty.” I like reading and re-reading issues of Lula Magazine in bed, and I like carrying miniature perfumes in my purse. I like the little luxuries, however silly and impractical they might be. Most of all, I just like being a girl…
